Nadia Teymoorian, Marriage and Family Therapist

Dr. Teymoorian has 10 years of experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, and depression and with those currently battling substance abuse. She provides a safe and trusting therapeutic environment with compassion and empathy. Dr. Teymoorian assists clients to gain personal insight, personal growth and maintain sobriety by increasing self-awareness, teaching mindfulness and coping strategies as well as emphasizing on client’s existing strengths in an effort to guide them to successful recovery. Dr. Teymoorian has also experience with clinically supervising and leading addiction recovery groups.

Based on personal belief and experience and coming from a Humanistic Existential theoretical perspective I believe in the great innate potential every individual has and the helper's role as a facilitator or coach to assist the individual to discover and to utilize such strength to live up to one's highest potential. My practice areas include: Substance Abuse (adults & adolescents), Grief Counseling, Marital & Premarital Counseling, Adolescent Misbehavior, Anger-Management, Domestic Violence, Depression, Anxiety, and Stage of Life. I am experienced to work with challenging behavioral problems like borderline personality disorder and adolescents' substance abuse or misbehavior.
