Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the most vulnerable in our community, those who struggle with mental illness and/or have survived traumas and adversities due to family discord and relational violence. We are dedicated to providing linguistically and culturally competent and affordable mental health care, as well as social support services to strengthen our diverse community in Orange County.
Life presents us all with issues and difficulties – children, family, health, finances, the loss of our loved ones. Add to these universal concerns a myriad of challenges presented by living in a new culture, surrounded by a new language, with a mix of unfamiliar norms and expectations, trying to assimilate but determined to maintain your core identity. At times, the burden can be too great for anyone and the sense of loneliness overwhelming. OMID offers comprehensive professional help and support, as well as friendship.
